Luan Jackson considers herself a “people builder” as she helps her clients to communicate effectively, resolve conflict, manage stress, and achieve balance in life.
Luan has a master’s degree from the University of Michigan in psychology and administration, a bachelor’s degree in nursing, and she is a certified specialist in psychiatric mental health nursing. She completed 30 hours of Bible studies from Cornerstone University in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and she has certificates of achievement from Michigan State University in business administration, and from Oakland University in group therapy.
Luan has held a variety of professional positions, including being appointed Director of Nursing at 25 years of age. She is a nurse entrepreneur and established a full service mental health clinic which, under her leadership, obtained national accreditation in only two years of existence. To stay current with people and their problems, Luan continues to maintain a caseload of regular individual clients.
Luan has been speaking professionally for more than 15 years. She has shared her ideas both nationally (in 40 states) and internationally (England, Bangladesh, China, Venezuela, and Australia).
Luan is a member of the National Speakers Association, and Sigma Theta Tau (an honorary nursing society). She is active in her church and community.
Luan has been married for 40 years and is the mother of a 36 year old daughter and a 32 year old son. She was raised in the Belgian Congo (Africa) and fled with her family during the communist take over. Luan came back to this country when she was 13 years old. These life changing personal experiences as well as Luan’s professional experiences are woven throughout her presentations.
